  WELCOME!

Tyndale St-Georges Community Center is a path that came into existence 83 years ago. Charles Johnson, a man with a vision and a hopeful heart, was the first to walk this path when he established Tyndale House in the heart of Little Burgundy in 1927. Since its inception many have followed this path and helped forge it, creating a passage from isolation to community, from exclusion to empowerment.

This path has been enhanced by a dynamic ecumenical partnership between the Anglican and Presbyterian Churches who work hand-in-hand in their support to, and involvement with, Tyndale St-Georges and the community of Little Burgundy. A Board of Directors partnership model of community members, church representatives and other supporters work together to plan future directions for this path and to find the means to get there. A dedicated staff team and hundreds of volunteers are on the ground daily ensuring that the path is maintained, enhanced, accessible and following its course.

As I embark on this path myself, I am deeply conscious of the great leadership that precedes me both in recent years and in those gone by. I am joining a committed staff team and a Board of Directors with a proven track record for having an important positive impact on an inner-city community full of potential and vision. I am honoured to have been chosen as Executive Director of Tyndale St-Georges, and hope with your help that I too will contribute to its success.
